Almost nothing displayed was much of a surprise, really. The city’s 1932 atlas was published in colour and identifies numerous landmarks, buildings, and points of interest across the city at the time. Civic, federal, and ecclesiastical infrastructure are all about what would be expected.
Nevertheless, I thought it would be interesting to map out, using a modern approach, the points that the City of Ottawa felt important to include in their 1931 publication.
At the moment, I have only actually identified the items marked on the map. As time goes on, I’ll be adding information to them.
